Breakfast at Tiffany’s performed by Instrumental at the 2010 Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma Southeast District Convention on April 10, 2010 at the University of Florida Hilton.

It’s been a while since I made a post and I’m at a good stopping point with everything else.

Entertainment
I haven’t had much time lately to read any books. My list is starting to get long. I’m hoping that once I wrap up most of the website projects I can get back to reading. That or I’ll have to give up some of the daily news reading/scanning that I do. I have been able to play a decent amount of games though. I finished Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 2 and I’ve been playing Star Trek Online.

Website Design
These past few weeks most of my attention has been focused on the websites I maintain. I finally put the final touches on my professional site. I also finished the majority of the theme work on this site and I did a quick build out of another website. The last website will be getting a facelift this weekend.

Business Research Project
I’m starting to gather my research for a business project. I’ve started bookmarking interesting articles and links in Safari. But I’m going to need to take it to the next level soon and hit up the UF Libraries. I’ve actually never been inside one of the UF Libraries, so it should be an interesting experience.

Psi & Sigma A Cappella
Last semester, I finally got the A Cappella group off the ground and started. This semester it’s really starting to take off. It’s taken up a lot of my time (and some money) and I feel that the investments that the people in the group have made are about to really pay off. Our first (and main) performance is just over a month away. I can’t wait.

Blogging, Writing, etc…
I’ve got a lot of ideas swimming around in my head. I’ve been writing some of them down but haven’t had a lot of time to expand upon them. Maybe Saturday I’ll sit at the computer and hammer out some rough drafts, hopefully around five to seven of them.’,’It’s been a while since I made a post and I’m at a good stopping point with everything else.

Day Three:

2009-01-05 - P365D3

I was working on my computer and listening to iTunes when Schubert’s Scherzo #1 came across my playlist. It jolted me into wanting to play again. So I stopped working and headed over to my keyboard. We got it towards the end of my piano lessons. Piano is the one instrument I wish I was better at. I took about five years of lessons but I didn’t like my teacher’s selections and it caused me to quit. I did love playing the Diabelli duets with my piano teacher. I’m hoping to start practicing again soon but my current living space doesn’t have room for my keyboard.

Man I’m just ready for it to be next Wednesday. There’s just so much to do.

1) DLC Bids
As an elected officer on the SED Council for KKPsi, I was asked to review the bids for our annual District Leadership Conference and cast a vote. I need to finish my write-up and submit my vote tonight.

2) Jazz Band Concert
The UF Jazz Bands are performing tonight and my frat little brother is the lead trombone. So I’m going to see him play. He always inspires me to work harder as a musician even if it’s not my career. And one of my little sisters is running the reception so I’m going to help her out after I get off work.

3) Websites
I really need to do a lot of work on a variety of websites I’m in charge of. I need to setup sand box sites using the latests software for our chapter and district websites. I need to actually put some more stuff on my professional site and I really should re-theme my tumblr. It’s kind of bland.

4) Christmas presents for littles
I need to go put orders in so that they’re ready in time for our Christmas Party.

5) CFR Visit
Our frat sends around field reps to check on chapters every couple years. Our last one was Fall 2006 (before I joined) so that makes us due this year. He’s coming by next Monday and Tuesday. I’m hoping to meet with him, he’s been taking a tour of our district and I want to get some opinions from him on how the chapters are doing.

More to come later…

Dites-moi
Pourquoi
La vie est belle,
Dites-moi
Pourquoi
La vie est gai,
Dites-moi
Pourquoi,
Chere Mad’moiselle,
Est-ce que
Parce que
Vous m’aimez?

Dites-moi
Pourquoi,
Chere Mad’moiselle,
Est-ce que
Parce que
Vous m’aimez?

I sang this song at age 5/6. My first taste of the French language.
